CursorXP is a program for Windows XP that changes the appearance of the mouse cursor. It differs from native Windows cursor customization, which uses the ANI and CUR formats, in that it allows for additional customization and graphical effects, such as motion trails. It was succeeded by CursorFX.
CursorXP cursor themes use the extension ".CurXPTheme". They are ZIP files, containing a number of images, as well as an INI file holding additional data. They presumably were presumably primarily made with a utility that came with the software.[2]
