COMPACK is an executable compression utility for DOS. It was developed by W. J. Collis and Prominence Computer Services, and distributed as shareware. It compresses EXE and COM files.
It also includes a utility named BUILDSFX (integrated into COMPACK.EXE in v5.1), which creates self-extracting archives.
Identification
COMPACK-compressed EXE files most likely have the ASCII string "W Collis
" at offset 100 (as part of a copyright notice).
COMPACK-compressed COM files most likely have the ASCII string "W Collis
" at offset 60.
