As of v3.4, it compresses [[MS-DOS EXE|DOS EXE]], [[New Executable|16-bit Windows EXE]], and [[Portable Executable|32-bit Windows EXE]] files. The utility can run on DOS, Windows 3.x (GUI), or 32-bit Windows (GUI), but may require Windows 3.x to install.

DOS EXE: Files compressed by v3.4 demo are observed to have ASCII "{{magic|51}}" at offset 28, and "{{magic|SHR3}}" at offset 48.

Note that programs compressed by the demo version of Shrinker display a nag message at startup. So, the demo version produces different files than the full version.
