In addition to being able to perform functions by sensing activity around it (like automatically flushing when you get up from it), it is controllable by an Android app on a smartphone. Why exactly anybody would ''need'' to control a toilet via a smartphone app is unclear. (Well, there may be health benefits to its tracking of your bodily functions, but why do you need to flush it by remote control?) Anyway, this ability has turned out to make the Satis vulnerable to hacking, where outsiders can gain control of it and make it flush, activate the bidet, and other things.
