The ASCII signature "{{magic|sMAUG!}}" appears at offset 2 of a generated COM file, but as that is the name of the organization, not the format, it might not be unique to this format.

For v1.0 at least, the first 500+ bytes always seem to be the same. The substring "{{magic|ANSi^eXECuTABLe}}" appears at offset 403, for example.
