He later merged MetaTools with Fractal Design to create MetaCreations<ref>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MetaCreations></ref> in 1997, which carried the Kai's Power Tools<ref>https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kai%27s_Power_Tools</ref> name until bought by Corel in 2000<ref>https://www.zdnet.com/article/corel-buys-up-metacreations-apps/</ref>. Many of the MetaCreations file formats used a common format specification. CCmF or a Resource Composite File.

Many of the formats begin with the ascii:
