== Format details ==
There are at least two templates that a generated file may be based on. The template is selected automatically, possibly depending on whether the EXE file has relocations. The identification string that appears near the beginning of a generated COM file contains either "<code>E2C v1.02a</code>" or "<code>E2C v1.02b</code>", depending on the template used.

The generated COM file contains a full copy of the original EXE file.
