QV Series cameras would capture images in a proprietary .CAM format. The CAM format appears to have different encodings, one being a JPEG format.

CAM files have the header hex values "{{magic|07204D4D}}"<ref>https://git.cgsecurity.org/cgit/testdisk/tree/src/file_cam.c</ref><ref>https://github.com/digipres/digipres.github.io/blob/master/_sources/registries/trid/triddefs_xml/bitmap-cam-qv.trid.xml</ref> followed by 3 bytes <code>000300</code> Then a single byte which appears to indicate encoding <code>04</code> for JPEG encoding, <code>01</code> for something else. More research needed.

JPEG encoded images can simply be extracted by deleting the first 54 bytes of the file and saving with .[[JPG]] extension.
